God's Audible Voice

The Bible is the voice of God speaking to us.The Bible is the word of God written under the inspiration of God. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God. 2 Timothy 3:16. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" 2 Peter 1:21. It is no wonder that our Lord has place His Word above His Name. "I will worship toward Thy Holy temple, and praise Thy name for Thy loving-kindness and for Thy truth: for Thou hast magnified thy word above Thy name." Psalm 138:2.

The power of God is found in His work. "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrew 4:12. It was Jeremiah that likens the word of God to a hammer. "Is not my word like as a fire? Saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? Jeremiah 23:29.

As we contemplate on the goodness of God let us be reminded that it is He who has created this world and everything that is in this world, therefore He should be praised for he is God. "By the word of the Lord were the heavens made." Psalm 33:6
