Short Story: short stories impacting lives

Candles
The Bible uses a lot of parables in teaching us lessons, These were short stories used to teach us truths in the simplest way. Many today find some of these stories difficult to grasp. However it should be noted that the initial intention of parables was to simplify the message, and reveal the truth about the mystery of God. While at the same time hide the precious truth from those whose only intentions were to destroy or hide the truth from those who are seeking.

So that we might become acquainted with His divine character and life, Christ took our nature and dwell among us. Here divinity  revealed himself in humanity; the invisible glory was seen in the visible human form of Jesus. This demonstration of God with us, made it possible for all to learn of the  mystery of the world above through the author and creator himself; as he unfolds heavenly things depicted through stories or parables.

The plan of God was made manifest as in the likeness of Christ He sought to unravel the mystery to us.  In Christ's teaching the unknown was illustrated by the known in the simplest language ever because it was the popular language of the people. It was very effective, rendering it applicable to their personal daily needs. As divine truths were liken to earthly things the people grasps it readily.

The Scripture says, "All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; . . . that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world." Matt. 13:34, 35.

Parables are designed to teach the truth about God and His love, with the use of simple short stories, leading all to understand and embrace God's soon coming eternal kingdom.
