Too Drunk To Think?

Hand raised
However high their office, men are accountable to God. Indulgence of any sort do not glorify God, nor man for it is God and Him alone who turns the waters of the river. "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." 1Peter1:13. "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower fades. But the word of the Lord endures for ever." 1Peter1:23.

"For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the unbeliever, who walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries. Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead? 1Peter 4:2,5.

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1. So What about your faith? Is it an ordinary faith? or is it a trusting, persevering faith that is real? Do you pray for wisdom? And do you live your prayers? If not! Why not? Faith is the sum total of the things we hope for, even though our eyes do not see it, yet in our hearts we believe it and claim it. Faith allows us to resist evil, it causes us to say to the mountain of problems, mountains of distress, mountains of unbelief, mountains of inadequacies, be gone! And watch it disappears. It allows us to keep the Lord ever before us in order that we might feel his presence continually and have a deep personal relationship with Him.

Everyone of us has been gifted with a measure of faith from our father God, so why not pray and grasp it and allow it to be woven in your life experiences? For God is able and we are always under His watchful eyes, His ear is ever open to hear our call, let us use our faith to motivate us and trust him completely; remembering that he resist the proud but gives grace to the humble. Cast all your care upon Him for He cares for you! 1Peter 5:5,7

Ezra's faith led him to tell the king Artaxerxes of his desire to return to Jerusalem to rebuild Jerusalem and to revive the interest of the people in the word of God. This greatly impressed the King and his desire was granted him.

Moses faith in God caused him to humble himself and God made him the greatest leader of all time, with the parting of the Red Sea God's awesome power was magnificently seen.

Daniel, and his companions were far more successful than their other students  in learning while in Babylon because the God of wisdom endowed them with knowledge.

We too can exercise great faith, for we are gifted; God can and will strengthen our faith when we begin to let go and let God take control. Trust in the arm of God, trust in the power of the living God for when we trust him totally we walk with Him faithfully. He will strengthen our purpose, prevent all hindrances, removes all doubt, brings clarity and clearness of mind and above all make us citizens of His everlasting kingdom.
