The bible: A Manual

Open Bible
The Bible is the inspired word of God. "The Book of Genesis records the Hebrew Patriarchs, to whom the promise was given of a coming deliverer. It is a book of many authors and subjects. Touching both historical facts as well as a series of biographies. The preface to the Bible (Gen. 1 - 3) contains a brief account of the creation of the universe by God, and of man's high position, as ruler of every living thing on earth. It tells of the covenant made with Adam, by a loving God, his honour and his fall. The punishment that was his, disconnected from his creator because of his fall; and the prospect of deliverance from his sin was given to him.

Every kind of wickedness resulted from the sin that entered the world through Adam and Eve. Which through the course of time caused the destruction of the human families; with the exception of eight persons, the whole race was alas swept away by a flood.

Life was promised as the reward of obedience to God's commands. Every time Adam after his fall, recognized his sin he knew there was forgiveness if he only by faith ask forgiveness of the only one who is able to forgive sins and that was God. He was reminded that the keeping of the covenant would bring him everlasting life and restore him to his Edenic home. For there can be no remission of sin without the shedding of blood. In the same way, the tree of knowledge was once a test of obedience, obedience to God would bring a restoration of the abundant life one day. God will grant all who are obedient to his will life eternal when we observe his commands and teach others to do the same.

The bible is man's compass to lead him back to his creator, where light, love and peace can be found. When as children of the heavenly father we learn to call on the name of Jehovah then and only then will we be saved.  Enoch, a descendant of Seth, " walked with God, and he was not, for God took him," showing still more clearly that it is possible to have sweet communion with God and the ability to lead holy lives.
