Where Are You?

There are two ways--the broad road of self-indulgence and the narrow path of self-sacrifice. On the broad road you can find selfishness and the love of the world; there is also a narrow way and all who walk that way must cease to do wrong and strive for excellence. Which road have you chosen--the road which leads to everlasting death, or the road which leads to glory and immortality?

If ever there was a time in the history of this world when we need to give special thought to our destiny as it relates to our salvation it is now! The time in which we now live; our future as it relates to where we plan to spend eternity is at stake and needs to be addressed and settled. Should you be aroused to the importance of making your decisions to accept the Lord as your personal Saviour from sin? Yes my dear friends it does need an urgent call. Do not risk your eternal security on mere probabilities.

Where art thou? — This enquiry after Adam came immediately after Adam disobeyed God. Another way to look at it is to see the gracious pursuit God made after Adam in order to reinstate him to his former position. One in which he was at peace with God, not hiding from his maker because he recognized he had done something wrong.

Who are we? What are we doing in regards to where we will spend eternity?, what will be your course of action in the future? Or should I say today?  For the Bible says today if you hear His voice harden not your hearts, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. All these questions demand an urgent answer it is such a solemn time in earth’s history that we dare not procrastinate. We cannot afford to be sceptical, indifferent, or unconcerned.   Where are we heading? What will be our answer to this great question? Are our feet in the path that leads to heaven, or in the broad road that leads to destruction?

.As Christ asked Adam the question where are you? He is asking you the same question today, where are you in terms of ordering your life to be a disciple of Christ? Where are you in terms of where you plan to spend eternity? Unlike Adam’s response, God expects a different response from you. Adam responded “I was naked and I hid myself” God is asking you the same question, who told you that you are not loved by a loving saviour? Who told you that it is okay to run away from the love of a wonderful saviour? “Who told thee that you are naked?” — That is, at what time will you awaken to the fact that without Christ you are indeed naked, for only the righteousness of Christ can clothe us.

Although God knows all our sins, yet he still pleads with us to come, for He is able to cleanse us from all our sins. Humble yourself today and accept Him He loves you. Give Him your heart.
