The Three Watch Words

There are three watchwords that we must strive for, especially if it is our desire to see our Lord when He comes; which must be heeded if we would not have Satan steal a march upon us; namely, Watch, Pray, Work. "My meat is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to finish His work." (John 4:34)

What is our position in the world? As we wait for Jesus to come? We should be vigilant as we work, watch and pray. Our life should not only be about planning things; things that have no eternal value. Let us not be slothful in our business affairs, and endeavour to be fervent in spirit, as we strive to please God.

WATCH.....Let us seek the oil of grace in our vessels with our lamps, recognising that the lamp of every soul must be trimmed, and every step must be taken to prevent a decline in our spiritual life.
The Lord will hold us responsible if we do not do all in our power to build our character and become the best we can be. Our unused capabilities will be brought into account as those that we have improved. Therefore we have to be on our guard in our duties, knowing that we shall be judged by our deeds.

WORK......If you are waiting for the Lord to come you must make preparation, you must purify your soul, by obedience to the truth. The Lord knows everything about you, and He will use you to lead others to him. So it is important that we work for Christ, live for Him, by being kindly affectionate to each other and ensure that we enter in through the door. As he reminds us He is the way the truth and the life.

PRAY......Let us pray constantly, that the lord will help us, so that we will not be overcome by the enemy of our souls. Prayer is the key that will unlock heaven’s store house.
