Four Reasons to Wait

"And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent." Philippians 1:9-10

We are reminded in the scriptures to exercise patience. We live in a world that needs everything now! It is no wonder we are advised to wait on the Lord as He knows best.

Here are four (4) reasons why we should wait:

1.  "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)

2.  "The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him." ( Lamentation 3:25)

3.  "The Lord is not slow to fulfil His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

4.  " Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes." (Psalm 37:7)

Let your faith grow as you wait upon the Lord. Having a knowledge of His word will allow you to become all that He wants you to be. Let the grace of God dwell in your heart so that gentleness, kindness, goodness and the other fruit of the Spirit may be yours.
