The Book Of Life

The Book of Life contains the name of the saved

Did you know there are names written in Heaven? And to be enrolled in the Book of Life is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon man? "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven." Luke 10: 19-20.

The Judgement is spoken of in the scriptures by many Bible writer. It is mentioned over a thousand times in the Sacred Writings. It is more solemn than death; for death separates friends only until the resurrection, but the judgment separates them forever. No one can escape it. Solomon recognized this fact when he wrote, "Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth,and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes:but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment." 

The importance of having and keeping our names in the Book of Life is important in Exodus 32:32 we see moses asking God to save the Children of Israel..." But now, please forgive their sin--but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written." The judgment is an examination of our life record kept in a Book in heaven. Daniel says that when the judgment was set, "the books were opened." Daniel 7:9-10.
Even David recognized the importance of the Book when he proclaimed in Psalm 69:28.  May they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous.

There are several books that are associated with the Book of Life there is the Book of Remembrance that records even the thoughts of the heart. "Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name." Malachi 3:16

Yes my friends the fear of God is utmost. The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, this applies to every person.; because God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing whether it be good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14. We may speak idle words, and be inconsiderate in our daily conversations but be aware my friends God will take them all into account. 

Philippians 4:3 reminds us that the names of the faithful are retained in this book.
Exodus 32:33 States that the names of those who cling to sin will be removed from the Book of Life.
Revelation 20:15 reminds us that none will be saved whose names are not recorded in the Book of Life.
Dear friends is your name written in the Book of Life? It's not too late, You can forsake your sins and turn to God, ask him to forgive you and He will. Today if you hear His voice harden not your hearts.
