Jesus is compared to a precious pearl. The pearl of great price, the parable of the merchantman seeking goodly pearls "who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." Christ Himself is the pearl of great price. In Him is gathered all the glory of the Father, the fullness of the Godhead.

The Word
Holiness is not ecstasy: It is the surrender of our will to God; living by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. It is trusting God in trial, in darkness as well in the light. In every request and in every promise of the word of God is power. When we prayerfully study the Bible we become wiser and understand the will of our father God, better as the Lord quicken our understanding. We should endeavour to search the Scriptures, whenever there is opportunity, that we may be better able to discern truth from error.

The Perfect Law
Seeking the way of the Lord will lead us to gain a right conception of his character enabling us to understand the truth of true conversion and sanctification. Many today have under estimated the justice of God. They fail to understand that God will honour those who honour him and that the promise of eternal life will be received only by those who have been obedient to his will, in addition death will be the transgressors reward. "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23.

When was the last time someone asked you a question that caused you to stop and ponder on the answer to this all important Question? Do not allow anything to draw your attention from this question, "What shall you do to inherit eternal life?" (Luke 10:25). This was the question asked by the rich young ruler which today still needs to be answered by all.
